The second Houston location for Pinkerton’s Barbecue is slated to complete construction in the Upper Kirby area in late spring, according to project registration info from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

Construction began in October and the TDLR filing states the 6,116 square-foot restaurant located at 3801 Farnham St., had an estimated April completion date. As of an April 25 social media post by the restaurant, Pinkerton’s was still under construction, with crews working on the interior of the site that held the former 59 Diner.

What’s on the menu

The restaurant offers slow-smoked brisket, pork ribs, sausage and chicken cooked in Texas-style pit barbecue, according to the eatery’s Facebook page.
