Now open in Rice Village is the second Hudson House restaurant location in Houston, bringing American cuisine with a coastal twist to the neighborhood.

What's on the menu

The new 6,077-square-foot eatery is located on University Boulevard in between CB2 and Banana Republic. Guests can find East Coast-inspired dishes that include oysters that are flown in daily, cheeseburgers, lobster rolls, fish tacos and an array of sushi rolls, according to a May 19 news release.

The bar boosts cocktails and wine on the menu such as frozen Bellinis, martinis and margaritas. For dessert, diners can choose from key lime pie and chocolate silk pie.

Meet the team

The restaurant is a concept behind Dallas-based Vandelay Hospitality Group, and Founder and CEO Hunter Pond said in a news release he's confident the new location will receive support from the community.

"Our River Oaks location has seen strong support since opening just over a year ago and we're confident Rice Village will follow suit," Pond said. "With its already vibrant community and bustling shopping scene, Rice Village offers an ideal background for our beloved coastal-inspired American cuisine."
