Proper - A Burger Spot

At the Downtown Houston’s Finn Hall, Proper - A Burger Spot makes smash burgers, chicken tenders, classic floats made with orange soda, Coke, Dr. Pepper or root beer; and fries cooked in beef fat.

Pho Prime

Pho Prime opened in the Galleria-area and combines an interactive dining experience with the rich, authentic flavors of traditional Vietnamese cuisine. The build-your-own experience showcases its fresh ingredients, plentiful portion sizes and a range of ingredients for customers to choose from such as lean brisket, meatball, oxtail and chicken. A vegan option is also available and made with vegan broth, tofu, shiitake mushrooms and Bok Choy.

Yaya Rice Box

Yaya Rice Box is an authentic Chinese rice box restaurant in Meyerland that serves cuisine such as chili oil dumplings and dan dan noodles. Those who like spice can get Sichuan pork or beef mala pot or classic Chinese dishes such as Mapo tofu, salt and pepper shrimp and Hunan chicken. Yaya Rice Box serves takeout and lunch. The new eatery also offers catering services.

Confessions Restaurant & Lounge

A new restaurant and lounge serving Southern comfort food with influence from global cuisine opened in Upper Kirby, offering a chef-driven menu and artisanal cocktails. Confessions Restaurant & Lounge also boosts a social atmosphere with rotating music DJs. Signature dishes will include steakhouse sliders with blue cheese and beef bacon; oxtail lo mein; spicy rigatoni with Cajun-infused tomato gravy and sautéed peppers; and lamb chop Rockefeller in a white wine butter sauce.

Parlor Doughnuts

A new doughnut shop is coming to West University Place's Plaza in the Park shopping center. Parlor Doughnuts serves layered donuts with multiple flavors, including bourbon caramel, strawberry shortcake and raspberry pistachio. Doughnuts also come in vegan, gluten-free and keto options.

Dave’s Crunch House

The new fast food restaurant, Dave’s Crunch House, is a fast food restaurant that prides itself in being kosher certified. Dave's Crunch House serves American foods, from blooming onions to crunchy southern fried chicken buckets. The restaurant also serves sandwiches such as schnitzel sandwiches and even Philly cheesesteaks that use vegan cheese, in accordance to kosher, as meats and dairy products cannot be eaten together.
