What's special about it?
Pho Prime is a sister concept to Crawfish Cafe, building on nearly 15 years of success in hospitality presence in Houston, from husband-and-wife owners Kiet Duong and Julie Nguyen.
Pho Prime combines an interactive dining experience with the rich, authentic flavors of traditional Vietnamese cuisine. The owners aim to make this labor of love more accessible across the city, according to previous Community Impact reporting.
What's on the menu?
Pho is a beef noodle soup and the restaurant's broth is made fresh daily, boiled down from beef bones, offering a flavor-forward and nutrient-rich foundation to the soup, according to an earlier news release.
The build-your-own experience showcases its fresh ingredients, plentiful portion sizes and a range of ingredients for customers to choose from such as lean brisket, meatball, oxtail and chicken. A vegan option is also available and made with vegan broth, tofu, shiitake mushrooms and bok choy. Families can bring their kids for mini pho bowls with a choice of chicken or meatballs.
For a spicier noodle soup, customers can try bun bo hue, a spicy beef noodle soup with brisket, pork hock, tendon and Vietnamese ham. Lighter choices include vermicelli bowls and shareable starters like egg rolls and spring rolls.
Beyond noodle soups the restaurant offers bo kho, a 12-hour braised brisket served in a stew with bread for dipping, as well as the pho dip, a signature dish made with a baked baguette loaded with fatty brisket, bone marrow buttes spread, basil, cilantro, onion, spicy aioli and hoisin drizzle with a side of beef broth for dipping.
