A new location of the fast-food chicken chain Chick-fil-A will open Dec. 1 in the Meyer Park Center, 9799 S. Post Oak Road, Houston.

The new location will be run by Jesse Chaluh, independent franchised owner and operator as well as a Westbury High School graduate. Chaluh has operated Chick-fil-A locations for 35 years, including Chick-fil-A Meyerland and Chick-fil-A 59 & Kirby, according to a Nov. 29 press release.

“This new Meyer Park Center location gives me the opportunity to guide young professionals into meaningful positions, and I am so proud of my team members who will continue to develop as the leaders of tomorrow,” Chaluh said in a statement.

The new location will be open for dine-in, drive-thru and carry-out service. It is expected to employ around 100 full- and part-time people.

To celebrate the store's opening, Chick-fil-A Inc. will donate $25,000 to Feeding America, according to the release, with funds to be distributed to partner organizations in the Greater Houston area to help combat hunger.
