The details
Altura Recovery Center was founded with a vision to offer compassionate and structured support and to meet the need for effective outpatient care in Houston, according to the center's website.
Outpatient care is a type of treatment that allows patients to receive clinical care while continuing to live at home or in a sober living environment, and without needing 24/7 supervision, according to the center's website.
Altura helps those who may be recovering from alcohol addiction, opioid use or managing both mental health and substance use challenges. Altura provides therapy care that can be taken in-person or virtually, through different services such as:
- Standard Outpatient Program: One weekly group therapy session, one weekly individual therapy session, optional case management and coaching. Ideal for those managing mild mental health symptoms or stable recovery.
- Intensive Outpatient Program: Three therapy sessions per week, weekly 1-on-1 session, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, trauma-informed care and relapse prevention. Ideal for clients with moderate symptoms who need support and flexibility.
- Partial Hospitalization Program: Five days per week, daily therapy groups, weekly individual therapy and clinical case management. Targeted for individuals facing acute mental health symptoms or substance use relapse.
