Kindred Stories, a community space and bookstore in Houston’s Third Ward, has moved. Officials with the business announced on social media April 4 that they’re moving across the street.
“We’ve been looking for a larger space for the last few years and are very excited to be relocating just across the street to the historic Eldorado Ballroom,” the statement read.
Long story short
Since opening Kindred Stories in partnership with Houston’s Project Row Houses in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic, the independent bookstore has hosted in its space events including author talks. The bookstore highlights Black literature and other marginalized voices, according to its website.
