Officials with the fashion retailer Nordstrom Rack will hold a pre-opening shopping party for customers on Sept. 24 in preparation for the new store's grand opening in the Meyerland Plaza.

The new store occupies the former Best Buy location in the shopping plaza. Guests can shop at the 34,000-square-foot store which offers up to 70% off apparel, accessories, beauty items, home items and shoes from brands sold at Nordstrom stores.
