DHL, a logistics company that provides courier, package delivery and express mail service, is expanding its presence in Houston with a new ServicePoint center in Bellaire, per a June 12 news release from the company.

The details

This ServicePoint center is the first in Bellaire and one of five companywide. The retail store caters to business-to-consumer and business-to-business shipping demands. This includes the international shipping needs of immigrant communities from Mexico, Nigeria, India, China and Honduras, per the release.

DHL's international specialists will help export to over 220 countries and territories or ship to nearly anywhere within the U.S.

The new facility features staffed assistance and a self-service kiosk as well as packing supplies such as bubble wrap, packing tape and DHL-branded boxes.

What they're saying

Aaron Gallagher, commercial senior vice president for DHL Express U.S., said in a statement that Houston is a thriving city known for its diverse culture, booming economy, and international trade and commerce.

“This makes Bellaire, a suburb of Houston, the ideal market for the next DHL-owned retail location, where we can provide local customers with more accessible options and accommodate their growing international shipping needs,” Gallagher said in the release.
