Three new shops specializing in dessert items opened in the Bellaire-Meyerland-West University area in 2023, according to trends Community Impact staff identified through monthly Impacts section reporting.
Meyerland resident Jose Figueroa opened a new location of the vegan dessert chain Cinnaholic on Dec. 8 alongside his daughter Maria and his eldest son Hector. Guests at the shop, located in Meyerland Court, 4798 Beechnut St., Houston, can find cinnamon rolls in addition to edible cookie dough, brownies, cookies, Baby Buns—miniature versions of cinnamon rolls—and Cinnacakes, a cinnamon roll-based cake with different topping and frosting options.
Other new shops include Dirty Dough, which opened in July at 4001 Bellaire Blvd. Ste. G, Houston, offering 4-ounce cookies with classic flavors. Meanwhile, the Austin-based Lick Honest Ice Creams opened in July at 3821 Bellaire Blvd., Ste. 3D.
