Freedom Over Texas
Downtown Houston will be transformed into the city's annual Fourth of July Celebration, which will include a major fireworks display, along with other festivities such as live music, performances, kid zones, a beer garden and representatives from the five military branches. The event is held from 4-10 p.m. at Eleanor Tinsley Park and costs $10 for admission.

Overlooking the city skyline, the rooftop celebration will offer views of the Freedom Over Texas display. The venue will also host live music from the Alias Band and the Houston Brass Band, plus cirque acts, face painting, balloon art and festive booths from 5-10 p.m. Tickets start at $40.

The Miller Outdoor Theatre will host its annual free concert featuring the Houston Symphony performing orchestral tributes to America's spirit from 8:30-10 p.m. The evening will end with a firework final above Hermann Park. Tickets are free.

Celebration of Independence Parade and Festival
The event will include food, music and a live band. The parade will start at South Rice Avenue and Valerie Street at 9 a.m., followed by the festival at Bellaire Town Square on the Great Lawn. The event will also include a children’s bike parade. The event is free to attend.

The city parade starts at 9 a.m. in front of the West University Elementary School. Families and kids will ride through the city in decorated bicycles, tricycles and wagons. Afterwards, a pool party at Colonial Park Pool from 9:15 a.m. to noon will include games, prizes and bounce houses.
