The event will include a party with snacks, drinks, interactive dance classes and performances by the studio professionals, according to a Jan. 30 news release. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet the owners and instructors as well as participate in a dance class.
Fred Astaire Bellaire is owned by Peter and Ellen Ekkhart, experienced dance professionals and owners of the Clear Lake location. Both studios offer a variety of dance classes, including ballroom, American and international styles such as bachata, foxtrot and the waltz.
The Ekkhart's said they want the Bellaire location to be dedicated to making dance accessible to individuals of all skill levels and backgrounds, and provide the community with a welcoming environment.
“Our goal is to create a space where people can find joy through dance, build confidence and connect with others,” Peter said. “We have seen dance change lives at our Clear Lake location, and we are looking forward to bringing that same experience to the Bellaire community.”
