Bay Area Habitat for Humanity received a $50,000 donation from the Celanese Foundation in Clear Lake to construct a home for a family in need in La Porte, according to a January press release from Bay Area Habitat for Humanity.

Bay Area Habitat for Humanity is a part of a global, nonprofit organization that builds out affordable houses for families in need, according to the organization’s website.

The Celanese Foundation is also a nonprofit organization that stems from Celanese, a global chemical and specialty materials company, according to the business’s website. The nonprofit organization strives to donate materials to those in need and foster collaborative efforts with other nonprofit organizations.

Bay Area Habitat for Humanity and the Celanese Foundation in Clear Lake will collaborate to construct the La Porte home, according to the release. The home will also be constructed with the help of volunteers, the future homeowner, community members and skilled professionals.
