Construction will begin with a groundbreaking ceremony at 10 a.m. Dec. 9 at 2801 Lawrence Road, Kemah, according to the city.
The Dakota at Kemah will have 229 apartments spread out in 10 three-story buildings, according to the project manager The Mathis Group’s website.
Residents will be able to choose from one-, two- or three-bedroom units and access an amenities center, outdoor pool and private garages.

Dakota Enterprises currently has five other properties in the Houston area, including a Deer Park location that opened in 2024, according to its website.
A completion date for the project has not yet been made available.
