With nearly all precincts reporting, Fred Flickinger has won the race for Houston City Council District E.
Flickinger has 14,883 votes, or 56.95% of the total. Challenger Martina Lemond Dixon garnered 11,249 votes, or 43.05% of the total.

With 150 of 701 Harris County precincts and 37 of 57 of Montgomery County precincts reporting, Fred Flickinger maintains a strong lead over Martina Lemond Dixon for Houston City Council District E.
Flickinger has 9,969 votes, or 58% of the total. Dixon has 7,219, or 42%.

In his Q&A with Community Impact, Flickinger said, “Hiring additional police officers and firefighters, implementing more community policing programs, increasing police presence, additional funding for forensic processing, and ensuring first responders have the resources to do their jobs are of the utmost priority.”
