The filing deadline for May 6 general election candidate applications passed Feb. 17. Multiple positions across the Bay Area for Clear Creek ISD, Clear Lake Shores and Nassau Bay will be on the May 6 ballot for vote. The deadline to register to vote is April 6, and early voting in person will run from April 24-May 2.

The following are the available positions, current candidates and where to vote for May 6 elections in the Bay Area.

Clear Creek ISD

Polling places will be determined by Galveston County and Harris County. For more information, visit www.galvestonvotes.org and www.harrisvotes.com.

Voting will be held at the Clear Lake Shores Clubhouse at 931 Cedar St., Clear Lake Shores, according to the Clear Lake Shores website.

Council member positions (two open)

  • Ed Water
The open positions will go to the candidates who receive the highest and second-highest amount of votes.

Randy Chronister, who is the current mayor pro tem, will be on the ballot for the position of mayor.

Nassau Bay

Voting will be held at Nassau Bay City Hall at 1800 Space Park, Ste. 200, on election day. Early voting will be conducted through the Harris County Elections Division. For more information on early voting locations, visit www.harrisvotes.com.
