Tifa Chocolate & Gelato opened its doors to the Houston Bay Area in mid-October, Franchisee Sanaa Atkins said

The shop offers handcrafted classic and traditional gelato flavors with an American twist.

On the menu

Located on Bay Area Boulevard, Tifa Chocolate & Gelato serves 24 flavors of fresh gelato made in-house, including stracciatella, vanilla bean, dark chocolate, cookie butter, pineapple coconut sorbetto, strawberry balsamic, espresso chip and salted caramel. Atkins said the store will also work seasonal flavors into the rotation.

Along with gelato, the store features artisan chocolate from around the world as well as cookies, pastries and coffee.

The details

The California-based dessert franchise operates about a dozen shops nationwide, as previously reported by Community Impact. The Webster shop marks its first location in the Greater Houston area and the third in Texas.
