Staff at Tex-Mex restaurant Lupe Tortilla will soon host a grand opening at its new Kemah Crossing location.

Community Impact previously reported on a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation project filing that detailed the construction of the restaurant in February 2024. Per the filing, construction costs would total $150,000 and be ongoing between April and October of that year.

The update

A representative for the Tex-Mex eatery said managers were inviting area residents to dine at the new Lupe Tortilla before an official grand opening—which is set to occur at the end of March or early April.

Lupe Tortilla's lunch and dinner menu features appetizers such as chile con queso and chipotle smoked ribs; as well as a variety of tacos, fajitas, nachos, enchiladas, and seafood and steak dishes, per its website.

The menu also includes brunch options and cocktails, including several margaritas, a pina colada, beer and sangrias.
