Houston foodies can go out and eat for a good cause starting Aug. 1 as various restaurants will be participating in Houston Restaurant Weeks, offering deals on prix fixe brunch, lunch and dinner options. A portion of proceeds from these meals will go toward the Houston Food Bank.

The details

The deals will run through Sept. 2, and over 400 restaurants are anticipated to participate. Since it was started in 2003, the event has raised over $21 million for the Houston Food Bank and has provided over 60 million meals for food-insecure Houstonians.

“Houston Restaurant Weeks has become a staple in Houston that we all look forward to in August,” said Houston Food Bank president and CEO Brian Greene, in a press release. “We are tremendously grateful to Katie Stone and the Cleverley Stone Foundation for keeping us involved and Cleverley’s legacy alive. The timing is perfect as these funds will be used to secure fresh produce and healthy food that our neighbors will enjoy throughout the fall.”

A portion of the sales will be donated to the Houston Food Bank. The pricing for the meals is as follows:

  • Brunch for $25
  • Lunch for $25
  • Dinner for $39-$55
