The “gamified food pass” Corks & Forks will promote the food scene in cities partnered with Visit Bay Area Houston.

As of June 27, nine establishments are featured on the pass, which can be viewed on the Visit Bay Area Houston website. There the user can sign up for the digital pass, which will be sent via text and email. Checking into each of the featured locations earns the user prizes and discounts.

The free mobile-only food pass features food and drink locations in participating cities, including League City, Nassau Bay, Clear Lake Shores, Kemah and Seabrook.

“Bay Area Houston has a thriving culinary scene,” said Stephanie Polk, manager of the League City Convention & Visitor Bureau, in a press release. “The Bay Area Houston CVB is thrilled to be rolling out this new tourism promotion for the season.

According to the website, Corks & Forks continues to seek businesses to include.

Visit Bay Area Houston partnered with Bandwango, a travel marketing company, to launch the food pass. Bandwango previously launched a digital food passport in Pearland with the Pearland Convention and Visitors Bureau.
