From late June through mid-July, the county saw between 102 and 310 new cases per day. Since mid-July, that range has dropped to 45 to 184.

While the number of deaths grew during the highest range of new cases, they did not spike the way the number of cases did.

Over half of COVID-19-related deaths in Galveston County occurred when the number of daily new cases were a fraction of what they were late June through mid-July.

A total of 114,928 tests have been administered in the county, with about 7.98% of tests being positive.
