More tenants announced for The Grand at 249 development as construction begins in Tomball

More tenants are confirmed for The Grand at 249, the new name of NewQuest Properties' planned Grand Parkway Town Center at Hwy. 249 and the Grand Parkway. The Grand at 249, a $90 million retail center, is under development at the northwest and southwest corners of Hwy. 249 and the Grand Parkway in the southernmost part of the city of Tomball.

The Ritz-Carlton Residences announced for Lake Woodlands area


The Ritz-Carlton Residences will open on Lake Woodlands, officials with development company Howard Hughes announced Oct. 12. The homes will be located on 8 acres in the last large-scale residential site available on Lake Woodlands.

Historic Sugar Land farmers market under new ownership

The city of Sugar Land announced it will take over the management of the Farmer's Market at Imperial Park. The outdoor market in Imperial Park, 234 Matlage Way, Sugar Land, has been operating


since 2011 and will transition from the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce’s to the city's management.

Harris County Public Health offers free updated COVID-19 vaccines

Harris County Public Health now offers the latest COVID-19 vaccines from Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna, which were updated in September, according to an Oct. 10 news release. The updated vaccines are free at HCPH centers for all community members without health insurance and those who have insurance that doesn’t cover all COVID-19 vaccination costs, officials said.
