Standing Ovation Theatre announces shows for premiere season

Standing Ovation Theatre, based in the Clear Lake Area, announced the start of its 2025 show slate in an email on Jan. 6, which will mark the first-ever season for the theater.

The first show of 2025, titled The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, will mark the start of the theater’s premiere season. The show will run from Jan. 24-26 and from Jan. 31-Feb. 2, according to the theater's website. Show times are at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, officials said in the email.

Following the run of the first show, the theater has shows scheduled each month through the end of the year, according to the theater’s website.

What else?

The theatre, which is a Webster-based nonprofit that opened in September, is “dedicated to the purpose of stimulating and maintaining community interest and participation in theatre arts,” according to its website.
