Longtime Houston restaurateur Tony Vallone has died, according to a Sept. 10 statement from his restaurant.
In honor of his legacy, Tony's in Greenway Plaza at 3755 Richmond Ave., Houston, will be closed for the weekend and reopens Sept. 14. The restaurant has served Houston for over 55 years.
“I’ve lost the love of my life and best friend, but I will continue Tony’s legacy," said Donna Vallone, Tony's wife of 36 years.
According to the statement, a memorial service will be held. Details will be announced at a later date.
