The inclusive women's fashion brand Universal Standard is opening its first retail concept, Universal Standard 1:1, on Oct. 24 at 1202 Hawthorne St. in Montrose. Customers will be able to book individual styling appointments or group shopping at the store, which will also be used to host local community events. The brand was created by Polina Veksler and Alexandra Waldman in 2015 to offer women's fashion that caters to every body type. www.universalstandard.com
