Slate of Memorial Hermann urgent care facilities set to reopen July 1 following renovations

Nine Memorial Hermann urgent care facilities in the Houston area closed their doors for renovations in late June but are slated to reopen in time for the Fourth of July weekend.

The facilities will reopen July 1 as Memorial Herman-GoHealth Urgent Care centers, according to a joint press release from the two organizations. The renovations will update design and technology to “optimize workflows and improve the patient experience,” the release said.

GoHealth Urgent Care will partner with Memorial Hermann to operate its urgent care facilities, according to the release. The company operates over 180 care centers around the U.S.

Closings were staggered throughout the week. Facilities in Greater Heights, Washington Avenue and Clear Lake closed June 28. Facilities in Friendswood, Town & Country, and Fulshear closed June 29. Facilities in Telfair, West University and Bender’s Landing will close on June 30.

In the meantime, patients can access care at the nearest open urgent care location or by contacting Memorial Hermann’s Nurse Health Line, available 24/7 at 713-338-7979.

Following reopening, Memorial Hermann clinicians will provide both in-person and virtual care at the centers. All facilities—except for West University Pediatric Urgent Care, which also treats infants—provide services to patients 6 months old and older. The centers are equipped to treat non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries, and complete sports physicals for children.

The centers will provide services seven days a week with hours from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Mon.-Fri. and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Sat.-Sun. The West University Pediatric Urgent Care center will be open every day from 10 a.m.-10 p.m.
