A four-acre parcel at Richmond Avenue and Buffalo Speedway has been purchased by a partnership led by Senterra Real Estate Group for a potential mixed-use project. “This was an opportunity to purchase a strategic key gateway corner bridging two of Houston’s most affluent residential areas: River Oaks and West University Place," Senterra Real Estate Group CEO Neil H. Tofsky said in a news release. "We will work with key stakeholders who share our vision for this site.” The sales price was not disclosed, but the Harris County Appraisal District valued the property at 3440 Richmond Ave. at $15 million in 2019. The site, occupied by a BB&T bank branch, sits adjacent to The RO, a 17-acre mixed use development on the former Exxon Mobile research campus.
