A new hotspot for bagel lovers is on its way to Houston Heights.
PopUp Bagels, an infamous shop known nationwide for its baked-fresh bagels and flavorful schmears, is slated to construct a new location along North Shepherd Drive starting Sept. 1, according to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing.
This marks PopUp Bagels’s second location in the city and its first location inside the inner loop.
Craving cream cheese?
According to its website, PopUp Bagels bakes its products in small batches throughout the day to ensure that at the time of ordering, the bread remains fresh for customers to enjoy. The shop also features a rotating menu of spreads such as plain cream cheese, scallion cream cheese and Mike’s hot honey butter.
PopUp Bagels’s slogan, “Not famous but known,” is a distinct characteristic of its local business identity. Online, the shop accepts pre-orders starting at a dozen, as well as delivery and in-store pickup options depending on the location, per the website.
One more thing
The 1,240-square-foot storefront will cost approximately $350,000 to build, according to filing details. As of early August, construction is anticipated to be completed by Oct. 22.
