The family-owned Mediterranean restaurant that has served Houston residents from all over the city since 2000 is expanding once again with the planned opening of its sixth location.
Island Grill American Mediterranean, owned by husband-and-wife Faysal and Maria Haddad, will join the River Oaks community at 2810 Westheimer Road, Houston, in late spring 2027, according to a news release.
The features
The River Oaks location will occupy 4,225 square feet and feature an all-day menu built upon family recipes and carefully sourced ingredients, per the release.
Island Grill’s new space will also operate a full bar program serving cocktails, beer and wine available any time during hours of operation.
Whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner, Island Grill offers fresh-pressed juices, select morning options such as breakfast tacos and omelets, falafel appetizers, pitas, wraps, pizzas, pastas and more.

Fitted with a dedicated wood-fired oven and a fryer that is 100% seed-oil free, guests can enjoy hearty entrees such as Island Grill’s Hanover Plate, which features a choice of protein, tabbouleh, avocado, grilled walnuts, sautéed onion and mushrooms served over hummus, according to its online menu.
Other fan favorites include its Chicken Caesar Wrap and Beef Kabob Plate, which spotlights the restaurant’s signature Angus beef kabobs embellished with sautéed onions, tomatoes, a grilled pita and a choice of two sides.
