Fainmous BBQ closed its location at Sawyer Yards in The Heights in February. They are currently operating as a catering company until they find a new location, owners of the establishment said.
What happened?
In a Feb. 11 social media post, Fainmous BBQ owners James and Karen Fain announced that they were leaving the Heights location after their landlord said they had to pay $72,000 by the end of the week.
“We’re just looking at our options and making sure that when we step out again and find a spot, it’s the right spot, the right people, the right location,” Karen said. “It forced us to build a very strong catering clientele, and that’s what we’re doing now.”
