What are your campaign priorities?
My first priority is to make our school district transparent, from all new hires to policies, as well as systems that are currently in place. For transparency to occur the goals of the district should be aligned with the communities’ goals, which serves as the guide for the superintendent.

What makes you qualified to hold this office?
My qualifications stem from many years of service in education and as a parent with children attending Alvin ISD. I served at all levels, starting as a teacher and up to a department administrator, assistant principal, dean of students and a house principal. As an educator and a parent, I developed a well-rounded view of the happenings in our school district.

In order for the district to continue moving forward, we need to demonstrate that the voices of parents are being heard. Helping to align district goals with parental goals and expectations would be my main focus. Another important element is ensuring the recruitment and retention of highly qualified educators.
