Meet the new principals in FISD

For the 2019-20 school year, Frisco ISD is welcoming nine new principals: one at the early childhood school, two at elementary schools, four at middle schools and two at high schools. Some of the new principals are moving within the district, while others come from outside districts such as Dallas, Allen, Coppell, Grand Prairie and Marble Falls ISDs.

Early Childhood School

Bethany Birdwell

Principal at Early Childhood School
Birdwell is coming from Marble Falls ISD, where she most recently served as principal at Highland Lakes Elementary. She also held roles in FISD as well as at First Baptist Academy in Dallas.

Elementary schools

Amanda Dalton

Principal at Comstock Elementary School
Dalton previously served as assistant principal at Anderson Elementary School in FISD. Before that, she served as an art teacher in Allen ISD.

John Waldrip

Principal at Carroll Elementary School
Waldrip previously served as assistant principal at Christie Elementary School in FISD. He worked at Phillips, Isbell and Borchardt elementary schools as well.

Middle schools

Christopher Clark

Principal at Hunt Middle School
Clark is coming from McKinney ISD, where he most recently served as principal at Press Elementary School. He also has administrative experience at Caldwell Elementary School in McKinney and in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Natasha McDonald

Principal at Roach Middle School
McDonald will be moving up from serving as assistant principal at Roach Middle School. She previously worked at Centennial High School and in Grand Prairie ISD as well.

Jamie Lakey

Principal at Cobb Middle School
Before starting in FISD, Lakey was assistant principal at Coppell Middle School North in Coppell ISD.

Stephanie Taylor

Principal at Vandeventer Middle School
Taylor previously served as associate principal at Frisco High School and as executive director of the Seagoville High School feeder pattern in Dallas ISD.

High schools

Jon-Eric Ziaer

Principal at Reedy High School

Ziaer is coming from an associate principal position at Liberty High School in FISD. He previously served as an associate principal in Coppell ISD.

Kathryn Gray

Principal at Heritage High School

Gray is moving up from associate principal at Heritage High School. She also served as assistant principal at Independence High School in FISD.

Student Opportunity Center

Kecia Theodore

Principal at Heritage High School
Theodore previously served as principal of Cobb Middle School. She also worked in Richardson, Plano and Lewisville ISDs as well as in Louisiana and Nebraska.
