With election day approaching in Cedar Park, Heather Jefts, incumbent Place 5 Cedar Park City Council member, has received the highest number of monetary donations and the largest amount of money out of all candidates running for council. City council candidates had to submit campaign finance reports by April 4 and April 26. These reports outline how much candidates have received in contributions and how much money they have spent throughout the campaign season. The Place 5 race garnered the most funds in this year’s election. Jefts raised $11,708.24 through monetary and in-kind donations. She received a total of 93 monetary donations. Her opponent Rodney T. Robinson raised $11,573.64 in monetary and in-kind contributions. He received 19 monetary donations. A political action committee called the Citizens for Cedar Park PAC supported campaigns for candidates Tim Kelly, Hulyne Christopher and Rodney T. Robinson. The Cedar Park Professional Firefighters Association PAC contributed to incumbent Anne Duffy's and Jefts' campaigns. Expenditures from the PACs may have been made without the candidate's knowledge or consent, according to city documents. Early voting ended April 30. Election day is May 4.
