The real estate market varies across the Lake Travis-Westlake area’s nine ZIP codes. Community Impact Newspaper compared data from June 2017 to May 2018 to that of the same period from 2018 to 2019.

Real Estate Market at a glance

There are several revealing elements within the data sets provided.

Despite the fact that, for the most part, home values continue to rise throughout western Travis County, the average number of days on the market for homes in the area is decreasing.

Other trends examined include the number of homes sold and number of new homes built in the area.

Number of homes sold

Overall, the number of homes sold throughout the area has decreased from last year.

Average days on market

The average number of days on the market for homes in Lake Travis-Westlake has decreased through seven of the nine ZIP codes in the area.

Average home sales price

The average home sales price in Lake Travis-Westlake has continued increasing, but in some areas has decreased slightly.

Number of new homes built

The number of new homes built in the Lake Travis-Westlake area has varied depending on the ZIP code.

  1. As a REALTOR® who lives and works on the north side of Lake Travis, I find it rather odd you totally ignore the fact that there is life and residences west of 78726. Seems almost a bit ethnocentric.
