SH 114 improvements, Southlake
Project: Phase 3 of landscaping improvements along major intersections along SH 114.
Update: Council approved work at the intersection of SH 114 and N. White Chapel Boulevard at the Dec. 2 meeting.
Sidewalk repairs, Trophy Club
Project: Skyline Drive sidewalk will be connected with Panorama Circle; 13 other streets will have pinpoint repairs or be replaced.
Update: Manning Concrete was awarded a contract to repair 14 streets, part of an interlocal agreement with Grapevine, during the Dec. 8 meeting.
Ongoing projects
Cheek-Sparger Road and Silverwood Lane, Colleyville
Project: Emergency work was needed after a deteriorated storm drainage pipe under the roadway impacted the integrity of the roadway. The city street department placed plates along the travel lane of Cheek-Sparger Road to prevent the complete collapse of the road.
Update: Council approved the contract with Canary Construction Inc. during the Dec. 3 meeting.
William D. Tate Avenue median work, Grapevine
Project: Update the irrigation system, add electrical access to the median and help have uniform landscaping throughout the city in highly traveled corridors.
Update: Council awarded a contract to Clean Scapes Enterprises Inc.; various lane closures are happening as work stretches from Northwest Highway to the SH 114 frontage road.
Completed projects
Fairway Drive, Grapevine
Project: The new road, with a roundabout, near Cowboys Golf Club and Silver Lake Marina and a center turn lane between Northwest Highway and Grapevine Lake dam, which connects to the recreation area at the lake.
Update: The new road and trail from SH 26 to the Grapevine Lake Dam was opened Nov. 26. The 10-foot-wide trail will span 0.45 miles and connect with Links Trail. The work was completed earlier than planned, as previously reporting stated the work would stretch into early 2026.
