No Grapevine, Colleyville or Southlake RadioShack stores to close

Fort Worth-based RadioShack has released a list of 1,784 stores across the country that are pegged to be closed.

However, while dozens of Dallas-Fort Worth area locations are closing, the closing list includes no stores in Grapevine, Colleyville or Southlake.

RadioShack filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Feb. 5 in order to facilitate a deal with Sprint to co-brand about 1,700 stores.

According to RadioShack, store closures will occur in three waves. All closures are expected to be complete by March 31.

Customers have until March 6 to use any remaining gift cards. All warranties will still be honored through Assurant Warranty.

The closures do not affect franchised stores; those will continue to operate as normal.
