A wearable medical device and digital health care company, Kestra Medical Technologies, celebrated the one-year anniversary of the opening of its Southlake office July 30. To celebrate, the company held a ribbon-cutting and demonstration of the company’s device.
Kestra produces a wearable cardiac defibrillator called ASSURE, which has a unique design for male and female patients, respectively. The device is able to monitor a patient’s heart rate and rhythm, according to the company’s website.
The company opened its Southlake office last year, and has 9 employees on-site. Brian Webster, president and CEO of Kestra Medical Technologies, said the Southlake office is a good location because of its proximity to infrastructure and a talent pool to add company staff.
“There's a really good health care ecosystem here,” Webster said. “There was really good access to talent to build our team out.”
