Grapevine-Colleyville ISD salaried and hourly employees will receive payment for the three days the district was closed during Winter Storm Fern in late January, following approval at a Feb. 23 school board meeting.

Trustees approved paying the district’s employees for the missed days that will not be made up in the instructional calendar. Hourly employees that worked at a closed physical location will receive time and a half for their hours worked, according to district documents.
“A special thank you to some employees that worked so hard and some dad’s clubs that stepped in early on that Thursday morning,” trustee A.J. Pontillo said. “They made sure that the walkways were clear, the driveways were clear [and] the parking spaces were clear.”
