Christmas came early for some Grapevine-Colleyville ISD teachers as members of the Grapevine-Colleyville Education Foundation surprised 28 educators Dec. 13 with Star teaching grants.

According to a district news release, the GCEF awarded $43,427 to support and enhance numerous educational efforts, including:

The news release states grant recipients include:
- $1,800 to Michelle Brosi at Bear Creek Elementary for a “Sensory Literacy Room”
- $2,298.48 to Ashley Benson at Bransford Elementary for a “Bring Music Into the Arts Integrated Classroom”
- $2,000 to Joy Gibson at Bransford Elementary for “Math Manipulatives”
- $2,500 to Valerie Balbaugh at Cannon Elementary for “Strengthening Foundational Skills through Purposeful Play”
