Kubota Tractor Corporation is set to construct a $10 million training facility in Grapevine.
What's happening?
The agricultural and construction machine corporation received approval for the construction of the training facility on its Grapevine campus at city council’s Oct. 20 meeting.
The 28,825-square-foot building will have an office and classroom area as well as a more than 10,000-square-foot area for service and training, according to the city.
Kubota sells machinery like tractors, construction equipment, mowers and utility vehicles and opened its US headquarters in Grapevine in 2016. The company currently employs over 700 people in its Grapevine offices.
The training facility will host over 50 multi-day dealer training sessions a year, said Stacy Schroeder, Kubota University senior manager.
The training will focus on workforce and professional development related to Kubota products, equipment and operations, and will have between 12 and 16 participants for each class.
The city approval includes the addition of an electric vehicle charging station and 71 additional parking spaces.
“You’ve been a great community partner and we’re so excited to see your growth here,” city council member Duff O'Dell said.
Looking ahead
Construction is expected to start in early 2027 and finish around summer of 2028, according to a TDLR filing.
