Since the start of the holiday season, the average number of adults hospitalized with suspected and confirmed COVID-19 cases has been on the rise in Tarrant County.
In the first week of December, Tarrant County’s trauma service area hit a 15% hospitalization rate, triggering a series of rollback guidelines for restaurants, retail shops and bars in the area.
As of Dec. 6, the percentage of all beds used by COVID-19 patients in Tarrant County hospitals was at 18%. In northeast Tarrant County, the hospitalization rate is mostly in line with countywide data with a few exceptions.
At Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Grapevine, the number of confirmed and suspected cases averaged around 40 per week in November.
