Grapevine OKs permit for 41st annual fireworks show

Grapevine is ready to fire off for its 41st annual Fourth of July fireworks show at Lake Grapevine.

The show’s permit was submitted by Illumination Fireworks Partners and was approved by council June 6.

The details

The fireworks display will be shot from Sand Bass Drive at 9:15 p.m., according to city documents. The display will last 18 minutes and feature a variety of colors and effects.

Funding for 2023’s show increased by 18% compared to 2022. Council approved purchasing the fireworks display from Illumination Fireworks on Dec. 6, which set the show’s cost to not exceed $65,200. Last year’s contract was approved to not exceed $55,000.
