A new business focused on child development and soccer training, KidsUnited, is set to open in Grapevine later this summer.
David Turner, co-owner of the Grapevine location, said the business offers 45-minute classes for children 18 months to 9 years old that focus on socialization, activity-based learning and developing soccer skills in a noncompetitive environment.
“It’s a noncompetitive environment to focus on kids and the mind, body and spirit development before they get into competitive sports,” Turner said. It’s built on a European model to teach kids and help them develop.”
Classes at KidsUnited have a set curriculum and are offered for several different age groups, Turner said. Parent participation is also incorporated into classes with younger children, such as the KUB and Little Champs programs, according to the website.
