California Closets to bring customizable closet spaces, interior design to Southlake

California Closets will have a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate its new location in Southlake in September.

California Closets offers highly personalized designs for walk-in closets, entertainment centers, kitchen pantries and more, according to its website. General Manager Brian O’Keefe said the business delivers “custom-designed organizational solutions for the whole home.”

The Southlake Chamber of Commerce will host the ribbon cutting ceremony on the company’s opening day at this location from 4:30-5:30 p.m.

The backstory

California Closets was started in 1978 by a college student looking to maximize the space in his dorm room closet in Southern California, according to the company's website. The business now has showrooms across the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.

O’Keefe said California Closets has been serving the Dallas-Fort Worth area for over 20 years, with two other showrooms in Dallas and Plano.
