At its Tuesday evening meeting, the Georgetown ISD board of trustees approved the 2018-19 district calendar, setting school holidays and days off. GISD staff presented the school board with a final proposed schedule after collecting feedback on the district’s current calendar. Trustees voted to approve it unanimously. Highlights include:

  • First day of school- Thursday, August 16
  • Students will have a week-long break in the fall Nov. 19-23
  • Winter break will begin Dec. 20 and end Jan. 8
  • Spring break is scheduled for March 11-15
  • Last day of school- Thursday, May 30
