Georgetown ZIP code 78626 sees more than 40% decline in home sales year over year in May

The number of homes sold in May decreased year over year in two of Georgetown's three ZIP codes, according to recently released data from the Austin Board of Realtors and Unlock MLS.

ZIP code 78626 saw the largest decrease at more than 40%. Meanwhile, the number of homes sold increased to nearly 100 in ZIP code 78633.

The median price of homes sold in May remained fairly stable across all three ZIP codes, with 78626 and 78628 seeing between 2%-5% declines. Median homes sales price increased about 6% year over year in 78633.

Additionally, the majority of homes in Georgetown sold for between $300,000-$499,000.

Lastly, homes in Georgetown spent, on average, between seven and 12 weeks on the market in May. While the number of days a home was on the market saw slight year-over-year changes in 78628 and 78633, it decreased by more than 30% in 78626.
