Officials with the nonprofit Assistance League Georgetown Area expect to open a new facility in the next five years.
The gist
The search for land for a larger facility was prompted by the nonprofit’s desire to increase its outreach in Georgetown, Vice President of Marketing and Communications Jo-Anne Martin said in an email to Community Impact.
Eventually, staff will move out of the nonprofit’s current facility at 900 N. Austin Ave., Ste. 115, Georgetown and relocate into a new facility off Verde Vista, Martin said. The team hopes to build the new facility in five years after holding a capital campaign, she said.
