Jason Barnett, deputy elections administrator in Denton County, was unanimously selected to fill Williamson County's vacant elections administrator position beginning July 29, according to a news release. The Williamson County Election Commission selected Barnett at its July 9 meeting.
According to the release, Barnett worked for Election Systems and Software as a field service technician and regional sales manager and for VOTEC Corporation as its southwest U.S. sales manager. In those positions, Barnett worked with previous Williamson County elections administrators and staff.
"I'm really looking forward to Jason coming in," said Deborah Hunt, Williamson County Election Commission secretary. "We're ready to get going rapidly because he has such a strong background and knows so many folks here."
Barnett lived in Cedar Park for nine years while working for VOTEC Corporation.
