Photo by Beth WadeGeorgetown's Main Street Program announced awarding two faade fund grants to downtown businesses Divine Patina and Razmataz Salon on Oct. 1 for exterior design improvements.
Divine Patina owner Amy Vanderford received a $500 sign reimbursement grant in July for a fabric awning sign, a city news release said. The store opened in February at 1005 S. Austin Ave. and sells antique furniture, glassware, vintage jewelry and decorations.
"When we moved in, we had to replace the fabric awning that was here," Vanderford said, adding that the new awning is "wonderful."
Razmataz Salon, which offers hair and nail services, received a $2,297 grant for a new awning, signs and painting the faade of its building in January, the release said. The salon is located at 805 S. Main St.
