Georgetown City Council amended Aug. 25 the city’s solid waste contract with Texas Disposal Systems, which will transition yard trimmings collections to a monthly year-round service. The new monthly service will begin in October and will not affect solid waste collection rates, Deputy General Manager of Utilities Mike Babin said.
